East Coast Greenway —The East Coast Greenway, one of 16 National Millennium Trails, will eventually cover 2,600 miles from Maine to Florida. This traffic-free path is now 10 years in the making and 20% complete. By 2010 they hope to have it 80% complete. Some day you will be able to walk or bicycle the entire East Coast, passing through many urban areas.
Erie Canal Heritage Trail — This is a 70-mile cycling and hiking trail along the Erie Canal from Palmyra to Lockport.
The Finger Lakes Trail Conference — The mission of the Finger Lakes Trail Conference is to build, protect, and enhance a continuous footpath across New York State, forever.
Genesee Land Trust —The Genesee Land Trust preserves and protects waterways, wetlands, farmland, open space, fish and wildlife habitat, and scenic or recreational areas within the Greater Rochester area by acquiring property or development rights and assisting government agencies, individuals, and private groups with their own land protection efforts.
Genesee Region Trails Coalition — The Genesee Region Trails Coalition is an organization whose mission is to help local communities develop and maintain a regional system of multi-use trails and promote responsible trail usage as a healthy and inexpensive recreational opportunity for all seasons.
Genesee Valley Chapter of Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) — Hiking, cycling and canoeing club, Rochester area chapter. Their meetings and outings are open to members and non-members alike.
Genesee Valley Greenway — The Greenway is a 90-mile rails-to-trails project along the Genesee Valley Canal from Rochester south through Letchworth State Park to the Southern Tier.
Genesee Transportation Council — Metropolitan planning organization for the Genesee-Finger Lakes region. Part of their responsibilities include the Regional Trails Initiative for the nine-county region.

Henrietta Neighbors United — HNU is an advocacy group created to increase and facilitate communication between Henrietta residents and the town government; preserve green space for present and future generations to enjoy;preserve the character of residential neighborhoods and protect them from the encroachment of commercial and industrial development; and advocate for need-based commercial and residential development in Henrietta.
Mendon Foundation — Mendon Foundation activities parallel those of the Henrietta Foundation in the towns of Mendon, Rush, and Victor. Its key current trail project is the Black Diamond Trail, which links directly into the Henrietta branch of the Lehigh Valley Trail.
